Photogrammetry of complex physical object
2016
The aim of the project was to compare 2 different kind of 3D scanning techniques: laser scanning and photogrammetry. The one shown is the 3D acquisition by photogrammetry of an handmande sculpture of a norwegian troll made in wood. Following is explained the whole process of acquisition and post production, the hardest part was the acquisition of hairs.
In the following explanation i decide to show the photogrammetry process because of its flexibility and easy of make, in this case i just use a Canon D5300 with a standard objective.
